So Rove Got Off Scot Free

I think I just stopped believing in karma.

It doesn't seem to come for Karl Rove.

Where are the consequences of all the evil he has done in his life?

He has been a manipulator without conscience for most of his adult life.

And possibly, now that I think about it, as a child.

Contrary to what this implies, not getting indicted does not mean Rove is innocent.

Nor does it mean he is an angel, despite pictures to the contrary.

This story was disturbing enough, but then this image of Rove scared the living bejesis out of me! Let's hope that this means there are bigger fish to fry.

Doesn't surprise me. A government that calls the suicides of three men "assymetrical warfare" can justify anything to itself.

Plus, even if he were indicted, W would just pardon him at the end of his reign anyway.

I'm so discouraged by Rove slipping through the Arms of Justice that I am considering just not caring anymore. I'm not going to hope that there are bigger fish - let that be a wonderful suprise out of the blue. I do hope he chokes on that apple, tho.

I don't get it...and yeah it pisses me off- we all know that it wasn't just Scooter that was in the Wrong. Let's hope that like Peace Chick said that there are Bigger- Much Bigger Fish....( nice picture....in a kind of need mylanta nauseating way)

The old myth that people will get what they deserve sooner or later, is simply not true. It's a line that's supposed to make people feel better about a situation they can do nothing about.

I hope he gets his one day, but I'm not holding my breath. I know more than a few immoral, illegal, crooks, who have never been caught.

I'd like to think that after all this time and money, that the independant prosecuter turned every rock to try to find something. But I'm a cynic, so I don't believe that either.

Yes, it does make you wonder. As was pointed out to me earlier, could they be casting for Cheney???

Rove: So Dick what are all the guns for?
Cheney: Well Karl, now that you're off the hook, I thought we'd take a little celebratory hunting trip.
Rove: Uhhh...Gee that's great Dick, but I'm pretty sure I need to grout my tiles.

I think your mixing up justice w/karma. This is an injustice as can be expected in a system run by the corporate terrorists and is the result of a corrupt system. Karma is the result of powers of the universe and happens in weird and mysterious ways (actually they are more predictable than that but I will keep this simple). Karma is more like 911.

This does suck, but don't give up your belief in karma, at least not yet.

Anybody up for a good old-fashioned mob and lynching? Cause I am SO there if we have a consensus!

So typical, yet I agree with citisucks on the karma issue...justice didnt prevail, but karma may still pull through on this one.
And that picure is hideous!! But got a chuckle outta me!

This issue is a loser for the left.

Who cares that a CIA agent was exposed?

The laws against exposing CIA agents, were written against the left, to keep them from exposing covert actions. The laws are reactionary and oppressive.

Expect the laws, to be used against the left.

Well, actually I don't know about karma. Some physicists might agree that what goes around comes around. But justice can get warped too, and has in this case.

a good friend once told me that there was a huge difference between the legal system and the justice system. idiothead got out of the legal system scot-free, but i also believe in karma, and that's where justice lies.

nothing is ever going to happen to the lot of them. there will be no justice- legal or otherwise. these people have spent their lives doing what they do best- hurt people to get what they want- and that will never change. i hold out zero hope in the american justice system and i doubt the world justice system will touch them because 14 european nations were called complicit with america in the transportation and assistance with secret prisons. there will be no justice- especially with gonzalez as attorney general.

No- I think he will just laugh to his eventual grave. And yeah, I think he would have been pardoned.

But wouldn't the perp walk have done something for the spirit?

The apple he is holding is the poisoned apple...he'll get his eventually...so shall it be...so shall it be done.

Yes, the apple is symbolic of the metaphor for the Garden of Eden.
Instead of a woman being the bad guy, it's Rove!

don't stop believing in karma, it just doesn't always work in ways we expect or see...

I get solace from the thought that history will judge him harshly. But then I think: will there be any liberals left in the future, to judge him harshly? Will there be a liberal media to publish the works that judge him harshly?
